Reference Services: Research Help (on-site)


Resident students and faculty connected to the Command and General Staff College as well as members of the at-large Fort Leavenworth community who need on-site research assistance are encouraged to stop by Reference Services to discuss their informational needs. This research assistance in the form of a 15-30 minute session can be of great benefit. During the session, a Reference Services team member will show you how to use CARL's resources effectively to find information on your topic. If applicable, the team member can also direct you to other resources that may have information on your topic.

If further research assistance is needed, patrons can then fill out and submit a Reference Service Request Form (also known as an "orange sheet") to Reference Services. These forms are available at the Reference Services' main desk. Patrons who submit forms without speaking to Reference Services run the risk of having their research assistance delayed--forms might be incomplete or the patrons' research intent might be unclear.
