Listed here are most of the major microfilm and microfiche collections at the Ike Skelton Combined Arms Research Library (CARL). This list is not necessarily complete. Some collections rely on print finding aids. Occasionally the title lists are at the beginning of the reels. This finding aid only describes the major microform collections, in order to do a thorough search, also check CARL's online catalog.
The CARL has microform readers located on the first floor of the library.
The Library has Scan Pro 2000 microform reader/scanner which handles both microfilm and microfiche. The units include a fast, high resolution optical zoom lens. The unit can magnify and scan in various formats including PDF, JPEG and TIFF.
You can send your print jobs to a printer, download to a flash drive, or email the images.
Ask library staff at the Reference Desk for help locating and using microfilm or microfiche.
Due to the location of the microfilm in the closed stacks, microfilm is retrieved Monday through Friday between 0800 - 1430.
Microfilm or microfiche cannot be checked out.
Microfilm will be stored at the Reference Desk until you are through using it.
