This guide will introduce some of the resources available online and in the Combined Arms Research Library on prisons in the Leavenworth, KS area. This guide is not a comprehensive listing of sources, but is intended to be a starting point.
At present, there are five prisons in the Leavenworth area.
The Old United States Disciplinary Barracks is also located on Fort Leavenworth. The facility closed in 2002 and The 12th Brick Grille restaurant is currently housed in part of the old facility.
